RECENDT, the "Research Center for Non-Destructive Testing" is a non-university based Research Company, dedicated to the development of novel technologies for NDT - Non-Destructive Testing for various industrial branches.

Technologies and Competences

We perform applied research in the following NDT-technologies: IR- and Raman-Spectroscopy, Terahertz-Technology, OCT - Optical Coherence Tomography and LUS - Laser-Ultrasound.

For the railindustry - sector, mainly LUS (Laser-Ultrasound) is of high interest, as this NDT-technology can be applied to inspect metal parts (e.g., rails) without contact and at high speed - for example from rolling stock in standard operation.
